Celebrating 4/20 from Home: A Few Events to Check Out

We may be stuck inside but that doesn’t mean you have to celebrate 4/20 all on your own. Whether you want to support a cause, listen to some good music, or just celebrate that great strides cannabis has made in recent years, there are plenty of online event options to choose from that will connect you to your cannabis family.

Highstream 420 Festival

Two of America’s largest cannabis-related gatherings, National Cannabis Festival and The Emerald Cup, are combining forces for a coast-to-coast online 420 festival, benefiting Coronavirus relief charities.

Starting at 4pm EST via NUGS.TV, Highstream 420 Festival will be a full day of music performances, online workshops, demos, and interactive panels. Music performances include: Melissa Etheridge, Disco Biscuits, The Pharcyde, and many more! The entire event is free, although donations to the featured charities would be appreciated!

Chronic Relief

The Chronic Relief telethon will be collecting donations to benefit the nonprofit Feeding America, which runs 200 food banks and 60,000 food pantries and programs across the U.S. From 1pm to 6pm MST, tune in to the livestream show, featuring musical performances and interviews with influencers and celebrities. (Make sure to watch out for Cannabis & Tech Today’s special announcement during the livestream!)

Higher Together: Sessions from Home

From WeedMaps comes Higher Together: Sessions from Home, a virtual 420 experience. What they claim will be the world’s biggest 420 celebration, Higher Together will feature musical performances from Wiz Khalifa, Berner, Billy Ray Cyrus, Stephen Marley, Cam’ron, and more!

If you’re hankering for a music festival, this might be the best you can get for the time being. Tune in here to watch the show (12pm to 5pm PST) on 420.

420 for a Cause

If you’re a Colorado local and are trying to support your community, then you might want to check out 420 for a Cause, benefiting organizations like the Colorado Restaurant Association and Colorado Comedy Relief Fund, which help those in the service industry who have been hit hard by this pandemic.

You can expect live sets from The Disco Biscuits, Thievery Corporation, and The Motet, as well as comedians Doug Benson, Beth Stelling, Jonah Ray, and so much more. The event starts at 1pm MST and is scheduled to run four hours and 20 minutes (get it?). Tune in to 420 for a Cause on 4/20 to participate!
