Not content with just one “holiday” on 4/20, some clever individual came up with the idea to designate July 10 (7/10) as a day to celebrate cannabis OIL after noticing that 7/10 in a text message kind of spells OIL, if you look at it upside down. (?)
The term oil in this context also loosely applies to any cannabis concentrate lately, such as hash oil, shatter, wax, crumble, badder, sugar, resin, etc., and is colloquially dubbed “dab day” or “oil day.”
Similar to how a Hallmark Holiday such as Valentine’s Day promotes retail love, many consumer packaged goods (CPG) companies have come up with promotions for Oil Day.
