Lemonhaze, the celebrated B2B convention and events company, will be producing the inaugural Cannabis Industry Executive Golf Invitational on October 19, 2021 in Las Vegas.
The star-studded, invite-only event will feature the most prominent and powerful C-suite innovators in the cannabis industry.
“We’re proud to be welcoming the largest number of the most powerful executive decision-makers in legalized adult-use cannabis to ever gather in the same place at one time,” said Lemonhaze CEO Brian Yauger. “Lemonhaze is here to help the industry grow together, and our events like this make it happen.”
The exclusive day of golf and networking will begin early at 9:00 a.m. at Cascada Golf Club, one of Golf Digest’s top 100 golf courses in America.
The carefully selected C-suite executives and VPs of the largest cannabis companies in the country will have their golf clubs shipped from their homes and will be picked up from their hotels in limousine buses.
The guest list includes attendees like the CEOs of Curaleaf, ROVE, MJ Holdings, NewTropic, and celebrity guests like Heisman-trophy winner Ricky Williams and visual artist Fab Five Freddy.
In an interview with Cannabis & Tech Today, Yauger shared how his experience coaching football and acting as an assistant linebacker coach for Oklahoma State University inspired the executive golf invitational.
Yauger explained that there are several annual football conventions, but head coaches never walked the convention floor. Coaches preferred to go on their own to meet with like-minded professionals instead of battling the convention crowd.
Yauger asked himself, “What is the cannabis equivalent of a head coach?” The answer was the C-suite and VPs, the decision-makers, the leaders of the cannabis industry.
“There’s not a lot of people in the world that understand what it’s like to do a hundred million dollar-plus acquisition, to be acquired on a hundred-plus million dollar acquisition,” Yauger said.
“We wanted to get all those people in one place at one time and give them a chance to be together, experience the day, and be able to network with each other. Somewhere they’re not walking trade show floors, getting hit up by salesman every single direction, to have fun in a relaxing environment and be able to spend the day together,” Yauger added.
Attendees will have the opportunity to tee off with some of the greatest companies in cannabis with big name sponsors like Curaleaf, Fluence, TILT Holdings, LeafLink, and more. Cannabis & Tech Today is acting as a media sponsor.
“What makes this industry so much fun is, anybody in the industry by nature is a startup,” said Yauger. “These are the people that are building this industry, and it’s been amazing getting to know everybody.”
Yauger confirmed that Lemonhaze intends to make the Cannabis Industry Executive Golf Invitational a yearly event. This is an event separate from MJBizCon, away from the convention floors to create a more intimate, networking experience.
“It’s been an absolute blast, just being able to talk to all these ladies and gentlemen that are playing and hear how excited they are to be able to do something that they’ve never been able to do before, to get into the same room with other people that have the same challenges and the same things that they have to deal with at work has been just amazing,” said Yauger.
