The International Cannabis Business Conference held its annual event on April 16th and 17th at the Estrel Berlin Hotel And Conference Center. ICBC 2024 was a global gathering, bringing over 5,000 attendees from over 80 countries to the expo floor. More than 350 exhibitors and sponsors made the B2B cannabis trade show possible, featuring an array of cannabis companies in this emerging international space.
ICBC 2024 holds particular significance, coinciding with Germany’s landmark decision to legalize cannabis, taking effect on April 1, 2024. The legislative moves make Germany the third country in the European Union to do so, just behind Malta and Luxembourg.
Cannabis legalization projects to generate 27,000 new jobs and contribute over 1 billion euros to Germany’s economy in 2024. The ripple effects of this decision are yet to be fully understood, but the prevailing sentiment is one of optimism about the potential opportunities it presents.
