PR Powerhouses Part II

Jordan Isenstadt, Marino PR

Jordan Isenstadt is a PR executive, strategist, and community builder with expertise at the intersection of cannabis, public policy, and emerging industries.

With a background in political science and sociology and early professional experience in government and public affairs, Isenstadt has spent his career helping organizations navigate complex regulatory environments, cultural shifts, and high-stakes reputational moments. He is currently a Senior Vice President at Marino, where he built and leads the firm’s award-winning Cannabis, Psychedelics & Emerging Industries practice.

Over the past decade, Isenstadt has advised cannabis operators, technology platforms, advocacy organizations, and institutions. His work spans earned media, executive positioning, crisis communications, policy-driven storytelling, and market-entry strategy, helping clients grow responsibly in one of the most regulated industries in the country.

Isenstadt is also the co-founder of Jews in Weed, a national professional community that hosts events that foster community in the cannabis ecosystem.

“I’m passionate about what I do because I get to help shape how people understand things that are new, complex, and often misunderstood,” said Isenstadt. “Cannabis sits at the center of health, policy, culture, and stigma, and I find it incredibly meaningful to help normalize it for a new generation in a way that’s responsible and grounded in facts. I love working in spaces where the story being told can influence not just perception, but how regulators, institutions, and the public decide what’s acceptable and possible.”

Marino’s current clients include LeafLink, Dutchie, Ayrloom, Fluent Cannabis Co., Cannabis Association of New York, National Cannabis Industry Association, CULTA, LEVIA, Paylient, Veteran’s Choice, and Vlasic Labs, among others.

Michael Mejer, Green Lane Communication

Michael Mejer has over a decade of experience in publicity, marketing, and sales. He has emerged as a seasoned professional adept at forging connections between leaders in the cannabis sector and invaluable media and press prospects

As the driving force behind Green Lane Communication, Mejer’s specialized PR agency in the cannabis realm, he skillfully orchestrates opportunities that deliver earned media exposure and press engagements for his clients. His strategic approach enhances brand recognition, fosters trust, and establishes credibility for his clients. His commitment to the companies that uplift and advance the industry earned him a spot on Marijuana Venture’s 2025 40 Under 40 list.

“I’m passionate about what I do because I don’t believe great companies should stay invisible, especially in an industry that’s been misunderstood for far too long,” said Mejer. “Cannabis is full of sharp operators and bold thinkers building real businesses under real pressure, and I’ve made it my mission to make sure their stories land where they matter.

I know influence isn’t accidental. It’s engineered. At Green Lane Communication, my goal is for us to position leaders so the media sees them as credible, necessary voices shaping the future of the industry. When the narrative is right, doors open, trust follows, and momentum becomes unavoidable.

What drives me day in and day out is the win-win, putting founders in control of their narrative while moving the cannabis industry closer to the respect and legitimacy it’s earned. I choose to work with companies that lead with integrity, think five moves ahead, and aren’t afraid to stand their ground. My passion comes from knowing that we’re not in business to merely change perception, but to actually change outcomes for a community, business, and industry.”

Mejer represents Silver Therapeutics, Mélange by Cali Sober, Veterans Cannabis Care, Sorting Robotics, Green Check, Green Leaf Payroll & Business Solutions Inc., MBO Ventures, and LeafyPack.

Leland Radovanovic, Nabis

Leland Radovanovic is currently the Marketing Manager for Nabis, a major wholesale platform in the Cannabis sector. He is a strategic communications leader who helps companies and brands create culturally resonant moments that put them on the map, particularly in highly regulated and complex industries where perception, policy, and business outcomes are tightly linked.

Over the past decade, Radovanovic has led communications strategies for organizations at every stage from bootstrapped startups and nonprofit advocacy groups to high-growth, multi-state operators navigating mergers, acquisitions, IPOs, and SPAC transactions.

Known for pairing creative spectacle with rigorous strategy, Radovanovic has delivered campaigns that have generated billions of impressions, thousands of media placements, and sold-out product launches. His work has turned niche data into national conversations and transformed high-stakes legal and regulatory moments into viral media events.

“I’m passionate about what I do because I love people and stories. I used to play pretend with my younger brother in the backyard. Building fantasy worlds and the people that occupy them. That continued throughout my life, whether I was looking at antiques and imagining the lives and people around them, reading advertising and what it’s really trying to convey, or playing Dungeons and Dragons with my friends. Doing PR and marketing lets me channel my creativity to create wild moments for companies or bring depth to humans for the people running them.”

Leland’s work has been recognized by the Clio Awards, American Business Awards (Stevie), PRSA Silver Anvil shortlist, and he was named to Marijuana Venture’s 40 Under 40 in 2024.

Radovanovic is currently working in-house at Nabis, but has worked with or launched companies I Heart Jane, Inception REIT, PAX Labs, ArcView Group, THC Design, Royal Queen Seeds, Embarc, and Simply Pure, to name a few.

Lisa Weser, Trailblaze

Lisa Weser is the founder and CEO of Trailblaze, a creative communications agency that puts cannabis and lifestyle brands on the map. From cooking up the world’s largest pot brownie to ushering Martha Stewart into the world of weed, Trailblaze is known for big ideas and bold campaigns that get attention and drive tangible

“I’m passionate about what I do because my family would say I’ve been a ‘hyper-communicator’ since the day I could talk, said Weser. “But what I most enjoy about my job is community building. From hiring and mentoring young team members and watching them grow and thrive over time to collaborating with diverse, interesting, and ambitious clients all over the world, I’ve found that it’s the incredible network and ‘brain trust’ I’ve built up around me over my long career—many of whom have returned again and again to work together in new ways as their own careers evolve—that continues to be the most rewarding part of my job.”

Weser represents Stiiizy, Republic Brands, Wana Brands, I Love Growing Marijuana/ILGM, Storz & Bickel, Good Day Farm, and Gotham, to name a few.
