Quest Climate has emerged as a leader in sustainable environmental solutions. With dozens of patents adorning the walls of their headquarters, Quest embodies a relentless pursuit of excellence, consistently delivering groundbreaking advancements across a variety of sectors—from disaster restoration to indoor air quality.
In this spotlight, Quest Climate shares the journey behind their award-winning Quest 225, the challenges they’ve navigated, and the transformative impact they’re poised to make on the cannabis industry.
Cannabis & Tech Today: What does winning the 2024 Innovation Award mean to your company?
Quest Climate: We are honored to be recognized for innovation because this is a core value for our business. Therma-Stor, our parent company, has painstakingly established a culture of innovation since our founding in 1977. Our innovation mindset has consistently led to new solutions for existing markets and often created entirely new markets like disaster restoration, water treatment facility safety, pest control, and indoor air quality. It’s apparent to visitors that we pride ourselves on this approach as they see dozens of patents hanging on the walls throughout our headquarters. To be recognized for this core belief validates our efforts and inspires us to continue to provide value to our customers.
C&T Today: What inspired your team to develop the Quest 225, and how does it reflect the core values of your company?
QC: The second generation of the Quest 225, “Project Loki”, (as it was labelled during development) came about because we weren’t satisfied with the first-generation performance numbers of the Quest Dual 225. The technology in the first-generation Quest Dual 225 helped launch controlled environment agriculture and while its performance numbers are still better than every competitive product that has entered the market since its launch in 2008, we knew it could be better. We feel we have an obligation to our customers to grow and evolve with them, using their feedback and every day struggles to better serve their business. This tireless pursuit of generating value for our customers ties in with our strong belief in innovation.
C&T Today: What has the past year been like for your business, and how has the Quest 225 contributed to your growth or success?
QC: The past couple of years in this market has been volatile, to say the least. 2024 seems like a return to sustainable growth for the market and at Quest, it caps off a 3-yr initiative to completely update our product portfolio with cutting edge technology. The NEW Quest 225 is leading the way incorporating two new patents, a host of new features, smaller size, and significantly improved performance numbers. We are ready to support the next wave of growth thanks to the new Quest 225.
C&T Today: What do you think it takes to be an award-winning brand or product in the cannabis industry today?
QC: I’d like to say there’s a profound and revolutionary method of innovating and earning recognition for your products but it’s surprisingly simple; talk to the market. Meet with channel partners, influencers, raving fans, biggest critics, adjacent products, adjacent markets, etc. Bonus points for getting out of the office and Zoom calls to meet with stakeholders on their turf. When we identify market needs that align with our engineering capabilities, we know we are providing value to the market.
C&T Today: How do you see your product impacting the cannabis industry in the next few years?
QC: We believe the market is going to continue to trend toward better sustainability measures to lessen the burden imposed on the electrical grid and water consumption. Quest products are 30%-50% more efficient than competing products which uniquely positions us to support greener market initiatives. We also design our coils and drain pans to be safe for water reclamation, a very important feature for any cultivator in a water-scarce region.
C&T Today: If you could give one piece of advice to other innovators in the cannabis space, what would it be?
QC: Be genuine. This market is very aware of pretenders and if you’re just here to ride the ‘green wave’ you’ll be exposed. Our customers are farmers and I think that is lost on many participants that jump into the market because Instagram glamorizes it.
C&T Today: What’s next for your company? Are there any exciting developments or goals you’re working toward in 2025 and beyond?
QC: We’ve been working on a revolutionary technology for the last three years that we hope to unveil in 2026. Obviously we can’t share details yet, but let’s just say this tech significantly reduces the need for air conditioning and dehumidification.
Redefining Environmental Standards
Quest Climate’s innovative approach is a clear demonstration of how technology and sustainability can work hand-in-hand to elevate the cannabis industry. By designing products that prioritize energy efficiency and water reclamation, Quest is not only setting new benchmarks for cultivation but also addressing critical environmental challenges.

With such a strong foundation and forward-thinking vision, Quest Climate is well on its way to becoming a cornerstone of sustainable cannabis cultivation.
