LeafLink, a wholesale cannabis platform, was recently honored with the 2023 Innovation Award by Cannabis & Tech Today.
LeafLink is revolutionizing the cannabis wholesale market with a streamlined platform that gives retailers the ability to discover new products, place orders, and keep precise records. Operating in up to 30 markets, the platform simplifies procurement, prevents stockouts, and facilitates the purchase of licensed cannabis.
Cannabis & Tech Today spoke with LeafLink Director of Communications Patrick Santucci about the company’s achievements and how the team forged a path to success.
Cannabis & Tech Today: What does it mean for your company to win awards like the 2023 Innovation Award?
Patrick Santucci: At LeafLink, we are always looking at ways to improve and innovate, whether that is with our current product line or new products that help our customers. Awards like the 2023 Innovation Award are a fantastic way of sharing news with a wider audience about the tremendous amount of work that goes into the LeafLink platform. It also is a fantastic way of showcasing the wonderful talent behind the scenes working to improve our offerings. We believe that technology can help the cannabis industry reach its full potential and are honored to be recognized.
C&T: How has the last year been for your business?
PS: 2023 was a pivotal year for cannabis and for LeafLink. There are obviously still challenges and hurdles we are all facing, but we’re seeing green shoots emerge that make us optimistic about the work being done. We’ve doubled down on our technology offerings while focusing our efforts on products that are the most beneficial for our customers. Our financial services have been a core focus area for us, especially our Direct Pay option which helps businesses pay and get paid easier. Overall, we are excited for the future of cannabis and already looking ahead to ways to solve more industry-wide problems.
C&T: What does it take to be an award-winning brand in cannabis today?
PS: Cannabis is a competitive industry and we’re honored to be recognized for the work being done. When a business pinpoints the source of an industry-wide problem, aligns with the needs of their customer base, and tasks talented people with resolving those issues, the result will be meaningful and beneficial to operators in the space.
C&T: Why should companies and brands enter this year’s Innovation Awards?
PS: It’s a great way to showcase how they are innovating and helping evolve the industry. It’s also a wonderful way to recognize the work being done by employees to make it a reality! While cannabis is competitive, it’s also an industry that benefits from celebrating the success of others. Collectively, when companies push the boundaries on what is available in their industry and what can help move towards being successful, we all win.
