Trailblazing comedian and journalist take the stage as cannabis celebrates the
best in business at cannabis’ global trade show MJBizCon on Nov. 30 at the Pearl
Theater at the Palms Casino Las Vegas.
In their triumphant return to producing groundbreaking award shows, Farechild co-founders
Dave Tran and James Zachodni’s latest venture, The Emjays International Cannabis
Awards (www.theemjays.com) announce cannabis journalist Mary Jane Gibson and popular
Los Angeles comedian Mike Glazer as the hosts for the historic award show on November
30th, 2023.
Presented by Advanced Vapor Devices (AVD) and in collaboration with MJBizCon, The
Emjays will take place at the iconic Pearl Theater in the Palms Casino Resort in Las Vegas
which is considered one of the finest casino theaters in all of Las Vegas, with a seating capacity
of up to 2263 guests, private VIP boxes, balcony seating, and a 63’ stage with state-of-the-art
sound and visual effects. Guests will be treated to comedic skits produced by the outrageously
hilarious duo throughout the show, “celebrity” award presenters, and high-tech visual effects
during the ceremony, and will be able to enjoy sponsor activations throughout the venue.

Mary Jane Gibson, a trailblazer in cannabis journalism, brings a wealth of experience and
insight to the Emjay Award Show. As the former culture editor at High Times, Mary Jane has
been at the forefront of tracking the legalization of medical marijuana and adult-use cannabis for
over a decade.
Her work has seen her collaborate with integral public figures, brands, and
personalities in the industry since 2007. In addition to a decade-long contribution to High Times,
her writing has graced numerous outlets, including Rolling Stone and Vox, covering an array of
topics, from cannabis culture and entertainment to news and cutting-edge trends.
Mary Jane is not only a distinguished journalist but also an award-winning actor and playwright, holding a degree from the National Theatre School of Canada. Her dedication extends beyond the world of cannabis, as her work encompasses psychedelics, arts and culture, and comedy.
Mike Glazer, an entertainment juggernaut with extensive credits including appearances at the
2023 NHL Awards, HBO’s Night of Too Many Stars (earning an Emmy nomination), Comedy
Central, and Food Network’s Worst Cooks In America. Glazer’s live shows, which consistently
