Purpose: The cannabis industry has longed for a way to recognize businesses and individuals who are leaders and innovators in their specific business category. There are a lot of awards and “cups” that recognize the best cannabis products, however, the companies that focus on the ancillary services and products that support the cannabis goods have little to look forward to when it comes to recognition and awards. This is why The Emjays – International Cannabis Awards – was created; a collaboration between award-winning event producers – Farechild Events and the largest cannabis trade show and media entity in the industry – MJBizCon.
Experience: The team at Farechild Events created and produced multiple award shows including the extravagant DOPE Industry Awards. This regional cannabis industry award show was produced in Washington, Oregon and California between 2013-2018.
The Event: The Emjays will be a black-tie affair that will encourage guests and nominees to get dressed up to make this a very rare and special evening for the cannabis industry that seldomly have events of this caliber. The fully produced show will consist of a red carpet entry, 20+ award categories with different “celebrity” presenters for each category, live performances and an afterparty.
Location: Palms Hotel & Casino Las Vegas – Pearl Concert Theater – Considered by many to be one of the finest casino theaters in all of Las Vegas. The theater can seat up to 2263 guests with private VIP boxes, balcony seating and a 63’ stage with state-of-the-art sound and visual effects.
Nominations & Voting: A nomination period will commence on June 17, 2024. During this time the public will be able to nominate their favorite businesses and people within the given award categories. At the end of the nomination period the votes will be tallied and the finalists in each category will be announced. The final voting/judging round will begin in October. The judging of the winners will be a combination of public voting and an internal committee of industry professionals formed by the event producers.
