Accelerant Manufacturing Aligns Innovation with American-Made Production

Accelerant Manufacturing upholds its reputation for groundbreaking innovation with new, American-made Pre-roll Cones (Iowa) and significant advancements in its Kief-Coating Machines (Missouri) and Pre-roll Machines (Maryland).

Accelerant’s “PaaS” (Production-as-a-Service) business model where partners pay only for pre-rolls produced has always helped operators preserve capital, avoid CapEx, and align the machine builders with their manufacturing partners’ goals. The new alignment—actually making the cones used in the pre-roll machines is a game-changer.

The best cones, at the best prices, going into the best and ever-improving pre-roll machines is a winning formula.

Accelerant, famous for its high-end pre-roll machines, will announce and demo several new innovations on its flagship PRO2, which will be deployed for all new and existing partners. These upgrades deliver material increases in efficiency and throughput—up to 2,000 pre-rolls per hour per machine—with a single operator capable of running five machines.

Next-Generation Kief-Coating Technology

This announcement will coincide with the public launch of the CoatPRO v2 for kief-coating pre-rolls at MJBiz, featuring live demos that show the consistently spectacular outputs better than any manual process and achievable with a fraction of the labor cost.

Swiss Cones: U.S. Production Comes Online

Perhaps the most impactful news for ambitious pre-roll operators is the successful deployment of Swiss Cones pre-roll cone-making machines in Davenport, Iowa.

The Swiss Cones machines are live, producing pre-roll cones in Iowa today that ship with the highest quality, maximum functionality, low lead times, tariff-free pricing, and minimal MOQs. CRO James Pavoldi likens this development to a “futures market” for pre-roll cones bringing the security and comfort of locked-in pricing not only for the 30–50 million cones needed monthly by current partners, but also for new partners committing to as little as 200,000 to 2 million units per month. This model leverages current and near-term capacity at shockingly low prices compared to imports with tariff uncertainty.

The first American-made cones from these machines are ceramic-tipped 109×26 cones that maximize IP potential through unique laser-engraving of the paper itself. This technology allows for branding, artistic designs, serialized numbers, QR codes, and URLs engraved directly on the paper, even along the glue line. Because the laser process is deductive, no inks or dyes are used, addressing concerns about printed rolling paper.

Functionality Meets Design

The ceramic-tipped Swiss Cones may be the only cones with the ceramic tip adhered to the inside of the cone making them durable enough to handle even violent motion in a knock-box without loosening or trapping material between the cone and tip. This feature was demonstrated in the “bounce-test” video on Accelerant’s YouTube Shorts page.

Alignment Beyond Machinery

The Accelerant team truly takes the concept of alignment to the next level. By building a PaaS business, they can only succeed when their clients do, making it an all-hands-on-deck operation where everyone, from top to bottom, is focused on their partners’ short-term ease and long-term success.

Accelerant may also be the only major player in high-end automation with no traditional sales team or trade-show booth presence. While their blue-chip client roster and nationwide footprint might make that seem unbelievable, it’s been achieved through an extraordinary volume of referrals and warm introductions.
